1540 Room is the dining room of The DeSoto hotel on Madison Square. The name points to Hernando de Soto's expedition through the Southeast in 1540 and the spice trade that followed. Chef Collin Clemons cooks seasonal Lowcountry menus from local farms, and the hotel says he was named the city's best chef less than a year after opening. Savannah Magazine readers voted it the best fine dining room in the city for 2026.

An inn with a dining room and a separate tavern that keeps its own hours. The inn says the tavern opens daily at 4pm and closes by 11pm, with food during kitchen hours.

208 Wine Bar

A Bay Street wine bar named for its street number. The bar adds that 208 'symbolizes manifesting wealth and abundance' and then admits, 'It's also our address.' Wednesday nights are Bubbles & Blues with singer Laiken Love, and Tuesdays bring five dollar tapas toppers. Readers voted it best wine bar in Connect Savannah (2022) and in Savannah Magazine (2026).

Eat It and Like It reported on September 14, 2026 that it will leave the hotel when the year ends ... the last service is December 31, 2026. The hotel sold on June 1, 2026 and its new owners plan to remake the space in 2027. The team has said it hopes to reopen elsewhere in Savannah. 45 Bistro is open now and has said it will leave The Marshall House on 31 December 2026.

A bar, kitchen and ten duckpin lanes in the basement of the old Woolworth's building on Broughton Street. Savannah Agenda reported it opened on 7 March 2025 under Harley Krinsky and Chris Godfrey, who also own Congress Street Social Club and Sorry Charlie's Oyster Bar, with food from the Sorry Charlie's kitchen. Garden and Gun (April/May 2026) called it 'one of Savannah's welcoming small concert venues' for regional rock, funk and blues.

Mike and Bee Vaudrin own Common, with Sean Freeman as executive chef. It is the sister room to The Ordinary Pub, which the same owners ran a few blocks west until its building failed in the fall of 2024. Common pours more than 30 wines by the glass that rotate with the season, and Savannah Magazine readers named its wine list a 2026 runner-up.

Flying Monk Noodle Bar

Flying Monk is one of the twelve downtown rooms of Rhino Hospitality Group, the Savannah-born company led by Ele Tran, whom Savannah Magazine readers named runner-up for restaurateur in 2026. The same readers voted Flying Monk the best Vietnamese in the city.

Joe & Vera's describes itself in six words: 'A nice place to have a drink.' The Broughton Street room builds its calendar around cheese, with cheese classes, a Cheese Ball evening and a sunset cruise supper club that leaves from Bahia Bleu Marina. Savannah Magazine readers voted it runner-up for best new bar (open less than a year) in 2026.

Kayak Kafe's own site names three principles ... health-conscious wholesome food, fresh daily preparation without preservatives or artificial additives, and 100 percent compostable to-go products. VegOut describes a vegan taco bowl with walnut meat and a lentil burger. The Broughton Street room sits at the corner of Bull, with a second room in Midtown.

La Vetta

La Vetta opened on August 17, 2026 as the eighth restaurant from Southern Cross Hospitality, the Savannah group behind The Collins Quarter, The Fitzroy, Ukiyo and Fishbar. Executive chef Michele Minchillo comes from Puglia; his former restaurant Vitium in Cremona, Italy held a Michelin star. Savannah's Studio THO designed the room, with a blue sky gradient painted by local muralists Hugo Aguilera and Adolfo Alvarado and an 18-seat bar. An underground cocktail lounge called V and a private room for 50 were announced as coming.

Municipal Bar

The street-level bar of The Municipal Grand hotel, with its own door on East Broughton. The hotel describes it as 'fine cocktails, vibrant seasonal plates and everyday classics, served morning, noon and late into the night.' Brunch runs all day from 8am to 3pm, happy hour is 3pm to 5pm daily and lasts until close on Mondays and Tuesdays. Savannah Magazine readers voted it best new bar in 2026.

A Vietnamese room that soft-opened on East Broughton on May 12, 2026 with pho, banh mi, vermicelli bowls and rice plates, as the Savannah Morning News reported the same week.

Pritchard & Co.

A sandwich shop and coffee roastery from co-owners Peter Patel and Jay Trikha, with Michael Pritchard consulting and Derek Fullmer as chef. It serves breakfast and lunch only. The same partners are behind Elsewhere, a much larger room planned for Bay Street late in 2026.

Savannah Seafood Shack

Founder Christine Cutlip built the Shack around one idea ... a Lowcountry boil served as a bag for one person instead of a table-wide spread, with peeled shrimp for anyone who wants less mess. The site lists features on Food Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel, including Ali Khan's Cheap Eats.
