1540 Room is the dining room of The DeSoto hotel on Madison Square. The name points to Hernando de Soto's expedition through the Southeast in 1540 and the spice trade that followed. Chef Collin Clemons cooks seasonal Lowcountry menus from local farms, and the hotel says he was named the city's best chef less than a year after opening. Savannah Magazine readers voted it the best fine dining room in the city for 2026.
An inn with a dining room and a separate tavern that keeps its own hours. The inn says the tavern opens daily at 4pm and closes by 11pm, with food during kitchen hours.
A Bay Street wine bar named for its street number. The bar adds that 208 'symbolizes manifesting wealth and abundance' and then admits, 'It's also our address.' 45 Bistro has been the dining room of The Marshall House hotel since 2001, the third home of a restaurant Sandy Hollander has run since the mid 1980s. Eat It and Like It reported on September 14, 2026 that it will leave the hotel when the year ends ... the last service is December 31, 2026. The hotel sold on June 1, 2026 and its new owners plan to remake the space in 2027. The team has said it hopes to reopen elsewhere in Savannah. 45 Bistro is open now and has said it will leave The Marshall House on 31 December 2026.

B. Matthew's serves breakfast and brunch every day from 8 and dinner Tuesday through Saturday. Visit Savannah describes a seasonal bistro menu and names the fried green tomatoes, the chicken and biscuit and Grandma's Burger.
Belford's has been in City Market for more than 30 years by its own count, and pours a champagne brunch every day of the week.
Bread & Butter is the brunch restaurant Auspicious Baking Co. opened inside the former Paula Deen's Creek House on Whitemarsh Island, which closed in January 2023 and sat empty until Katie Bryant and Mark Ekstrom bought it in March 2024. It shares the building with a second Auspicious bakery counter and has what the site calls a creative bar menu. A fall festival is on the calendar for Friday, October 23.
A three-level British pub on Bay Street: a basement room called Winston's Wine Cellar, a wood-paneled street-level bar and what the pub calls 'Savannah's first open-air rooftop terrace.' Savannah Magazine notes live music on Fridays and Saturdays and a house Cobblestone Lager. Happy hour runs 3pm to 6pm, Sunday to Friday.

The Collins Quarter's second room sits inside Forsyth Park itself, with a large patio on the park and a to-go window for coffee. It is a daytime place ... food stops at 3pm. The group books weddings, rehearsals and corporate gatherings here. Savannah Magazine readers named it the best non-waterfront outdoor dining in the city for 2026.
Mike and Bee Vaudrin own Common, with Sean Freeman as executive chef. It is the sister room to The Ordinary Pub, which the same owners ran a few blocks west until its building failed in the fall of 2024. Common pours more than 30 wines by the glass that rotate with the season, and Savannah Magazine readers named its wine list a 2026 runner-up.
Driftaway has been in Sandfly since 2001, run by the husband-and-wife team of Robyn and Michele Quattlebaum. They call the cooking 'Casual Coastal Cuisine' ... fresh catch specials with some Caribbean influence ... and the motto is 'good food, good company, Savannah style'. There are patios, live music, brunch, and a private room for gatherings.

Fannie's is the pink-roofed building across from the beach on the Strand, which Visit Tybee describes as three floors of oceanfront fun. You can sit inside, streetside or upstairs on the open-air deck, where there is live music on weekends. The site calls it 'a funky little restaurant across from the beach' and says its Sunday brunch and Bloody Marys return in the fall.

Garden Square opened in November 2025 behind 2400 Bull, reached through a courtyard off 40th Street. Savannah Magazine credits owners Jake Grier and David Winer and bar manager Natasha Conyers, and describes creative cocktails with vegetable-forward cooking. The room has hand-painted murals inside and a planted patio outside.
Hitch is the sister room to Treylor Park, the Savannah-born group that also runs Double Wide Diner, Pizza Party and Beach Party on Tybee. The group describes the room as reminiscent of a whisky library or a chic, modern saloon, with wood ceilings and copper accents. It stays open until 1am every night and has its own brunch menu.

Husk Savannah is the Savannah room of the Charleston-born Neighborhood Dining Group, which also opened Marbled & Fin on East Oglethorpe in April 2026. The kitchen names its suppliers, including Tybee Oyster Company, Chatel Farms and Gannon Organics, and reprints its menu daily ... the files online on research day were dated October 4 and 5, 2026. The indoor rooms seat up to 200 and the patio seats 18.
Kayak Kafe is a Savannah pair, with this Midtown room at Paulsen and 66th and an older one downtown at 1 East Broughton. The kitchen says the food is made fresh daily with no preservatives or artificial flavors or colors, and that it gladly works around vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets. To-go containers are 100 percent compostable. Savannah Magazine readers voted Kayak best Salad, best Vegan and best Vegetarian in 2026.
Lili's is a contemporary American room on Johnny Mercer Boulevard, which the site places between the Truist and Bank of America branches. Wednesday is 'Love Our Locals' night with a three-course prix fixe for $30, Thursday is steak night, and Sunday is brunch with bottomless mimosas. Closed Mondays.
The street-level bar of The Municipal Grand hotel, with its own door on East Broughton. The hotel describes it as 'fine cocktails, vibrant seasonal plates and everyday classics, served morning, noon and late into the night.' Brunch runs all day from 8am to 3pm, happy hour is 3pm to 5pm daily and lasts until close on Mondays and Tuesdays. Savannah Magazine readers voted it best new bar in 2026.
OAK 36 sits in a Midtown shopping center on Abercorn and sells itself with the line 'Like going downtown without the drive.' It promises food from a local chef and a craft bar in a casual room, with happy hour every day from 3 to 6. Savannah Magazine readers tied it for best Happy Hour in 2026 and named it runner-up for Appetizers.
Saint Bibiana is the coastal Italian restaurant of Hotel Bardo, tucked inside the historic mansion that faces Forsyth Park from Drayton Street. Executive Chef Jim Anile's kitchen makes its pasta in house, and the restaurant runs a hands-on cooking school with pasta intensives. It serves breakfast on weekdays, brunch Friday through Sunday and dinner every night.
Sea Wolf sums itself up in three words on its site: oysters, dogs, fancy cocktails. The kitchen serves oysters, sausages and vegan food alongside house and classic cocktails, and it runs weekend brunch. The site says plainly that the bar has no telephone and takes no reservations. The same team runs the Cobra Room inside Lone Wolf Lounge in Savannah.
Ele Tran's Savannah-born Rhino Hospitality Group took the corner of Whitaker and State, dark since New Realm Brewing left in the fall of 2022, and spent two years rebuilding it. Sunday Sunday is the all-day brunch and dinner room on the ground floor, with a small inn of about a dozen rooms upstairs. Savannah Magazine points to the banh xeo crepe and the blood orange martini.
The Collins Quarter is the original room of a Savannah-born group that also runs Collins Quarter at Forsyth, The Fitzroy, The Deck, Ukiyo, Fishbar and Doki Doki Ice Creamery. It serves what it calls Aussie-inspired brunch and dinner, with brunch every day. Brunch is walk-in only ... the house does not take brunch reservations. The Deck sits on the sand side of Butler Avenue with a back deck over the beach ... its own site calls it Tybee's only beachfront restaurant. The menu draws on Australian, coastal Mexican and Hawaiian cooking, with fish tacos, fried shrimp platters and seafood bowls. It is a sister room to The Collins Quarter, Ukiyo, Fitzroy and Fishbar in Savannah. A cat named Marley lives outside and the site introduces him to guests. No reservations.
The Emporium is the ground-floor restaurant and wine market of the Perry Lane Hotel. The kitchen describes its menu as rooted in Southern tradition and shaped by global influence. It runs a monthly multi-course Global Table dinner on the third Thursday, a Sunday wine hour, and a Saturday market-to-table outing that starts at the Forsyth Park farmers market.
Johno Morisano and chef Mashama Bailey built The Grey inside a 1938 art deco Greyhound bus terminal that they restored. Bailey won the James Beard Foundation award for Best Chef: Southeast in 2019, as the restaurant's own site records. Savannah Magazine readers named her Best Chef again in the 2026 Best of Savannah issue.
The Smoking Egg is a breakfast, brunch and lunch room on Ogeechee Road. The menu includes shrimp and grits, crab cakes, fried chicken, fried green tomatoes with balsamic glaze and peach cobbler. Its motto is 'The Best in the South, Putting Flavor in Your Mouth.'
Tortuga's has been family owned in Thunderbolt since 2008, on the Intracoastal Waterway. Its line is 'Southern Fare with a Caribbean Flare'. It serves dinner Wednesday through Saturday, lunch on Thursday and Friday and brunch on weekends, and has a banquet room for private parties.
This is the original Treylor Park, the Bay Street room that grew into a Savannah-born group with Hitch, Double Wide Diner, Pizza Party and Beach Party on Tybee, plus rooms in Florida. The bar top is made from reclaimed bowling lane wood, and there is a beer garden out back ... the site's line is business in the front with the party out back. No reservations. Savannah Magazine readers voted its fries the best in the city in 2026.

Veratina describes itself as the place where Italy and Savannah intersect. It occupies 606 Abercorn Street, the address that was Leoci's Trattoria until that restaurant closed. It serves dinner and a weekend brunch.
