Alley Cat Lounge

Historic District North

The address is a lane, not a street ... Broughton Lane runs behind the shops on West Broughton. The bar calls itself 'a classy 1870's hidden gem basement bar highlighting Savannah's deepest library collection of fine spirits and cocktails.' Visit Savannah says the cocktail menu is large enough to fill a newspaper. In Savannah Magazine (13 April 2026) bar manager Chris Schofield called it just a bar in a basement with good vibes and better cocktails.

Broughton Street Bowl and Brew

Broughton Street · bar food

A bar, kitchen and ten duckpin lanes in the basement of the old Woolworth's building on Broughton Street. Savannah Agenda reported it opened on 7 March 2025 under Harley Krinsky and Chris Godfrey, who also own Congress Street Social Club and Sorry Charlie's Oyster Bar, with food from the Sorry Charlie's kitchen. Garden and Gun (April/May 2026) called it 'one of Savannah's welcoming small concert venues' for regional rock, funk and blues.

This is a music venue. It is loud when a show is on.

The Rail Pub

City Market

The Rail Pub says its building 'has been everything from a watering hole for railroad laborers, to a boarding house and a brothel since its opening in 1890.' Karaoke runs, in the pub's words, 'every damn night @ 9pm.' Fridays are Free Fried Chicken Fridays with live music in the yard, and the website counts down the days to St. Patrick's Day. Happy hour lasts all day on Monday.

Go early. It turns into a late-night spot later in the evening.
