1540 Room is the dining room of The DeSoto hotel on Madison Square. The name points to Hernando de Soto's expedition through the Southeast in 1540 and the spice trade that followed. Chef Collin Clemons cooks seasonal Lowcountry menus from local farms, and the hotel says he was named the city's best chef less than a year after opening. Savannah Magazine readers voted it the best fine dining room in the city for 2026.

Fleeting is the ground-floor restaurant of the Thompson Savannah hotel at Eastern Wharf. The site says the kitchen blends global technique with regional classics and commits to hyper-local ingredients picked at their peak. Dining guests get free valet parking, and the bar opens an hour before dinner.
Savannah native Mike McMahon opened the Flying Fish in 2007 after years in the seafood business, aiming for local traditional flavors in a relaxed room. It sits on US 80 on the way to the beach with a patio and live music on weekends. Savannah Magazine lists it for families whose children are happy with fried shrimp, the screens and the patio.

Garibaldi is the Italian and seafood dining room on West Congress Street beside City Market. Its bartender Charlie Wentway won Savannah Magazine's 2026 readers' vote for best bartender. The room takes its last reservations at 9:30.
Local 11ten cooks Southern food in a restored 1950s-era bank a block south of Forsyth Park, using Georgia coast seafood and vegetables and herbs from Savannah-area farmers. Upstairs is Perch, its rooftop bar, open when the weather allows. Visit Savannah lists a private dining room for up to 40.
Marbled & Fin opened on April 8, 2026 at the corner of Oglethorpe and Houston, the second room of a Charleston steakhouse from The Neighborhood Dining Group, which also runs Husk. Chef Jesse Kloskey's menu runs from Japanese and Australian Wagyu to a 28-ounce Porterhouse, with a raw bar and about a third of the menu given to seafood. The main dining room is upstairs with about 70 seats, there are two private rooms for 24 and 40, and The Savannahian reports the two-story building is fully ADA compliant with an elevator. There is no parking on site.
An islands bar and grill that describes itself as 'a local favorite tucked away from the hustle and bustle on Wilmington Island.' Visit Savannah calls it a 'laid-back neighborhood spot' with a 'family-friendly vibe.' It runs lunch specials Monday to Friday and is part of Live Oak Restaurant Group, which also owns Dub's Pub on River Street.
North Beach Bar and Grill sits between the Tybee lighthouse and the beach, and Visit Tybee describes it as mere feet from the sand, a place that welcomes sandy toes. The cooking is seafood with a Caribbean lean ... fish and chips, shrimp, tacos and fish bites ... and the site says it buys local, sustainable seafood. There is a full bar with craft beer, patio seating and live music.

Pier 16 is a family-owned seafood restaurant that opened in September 2020, one block from the beach. Visit Tybee describes two outdoor decks and a rooftop bar looking over Tybrisa Street, with cornhole and giant Jenga. The menu runs from Georgia shrimp and fresh fish to USDA Prime steak, and the listing says it serves in biodegradable cups, straws and to-go boxes.
The chophouse sits in the Power Plant Building at Plant Riverside District, with the original brickwork and vintage fixtures left in view. It runs ticketed dinners ... a Pappy Van Winkle dinner on October 15, 2026 and a Babylonstoren wine dinner on October 18. Savannah Magazine readers made it the 2026 runner-up for steak.
The Darling came down from Charleston and opened on Franklin Square on November 5, 2025, in a historic building that had sat empty for years and needed a full rebuild. Savannah Agenda reports two floors with room for nearly 300, and a private dining room upstairs with its own kitchen and raw bar. Happy hour runs 4 to 6 every day with dollar oysters. Savannah Magazine readers made it the 2026 runner-up for oysters.
The Deck sits on the sand side of Butler Avenue with a back deck over the beach ... its own site calls it Tybee's only beachfront restaurant. The menu draws on Australian, coastal Mexican and Hawaiian cooking, with fish tacos, fried shrimp platters and seafood bowls. It is a sister room to The Collins Quarter, Ukiyo, Fitzroy and Fishbar in Savannah. A cat named Marley lives outside and the site introduces him to guests. No reservations.
The restaurant stands on the Trustees' Garden, the ten acres General Oglethorpe set aside in 1733 as an experimental garden. Its Herb House dates to 1734 and is said to be the oldest standing building in Georgia; the inn for seafarers opened in 1753. Mary Hillyer restored the building in 1945, and Herbert Traub Jr. and James Casey opened it as a tea room in 1953. In the 1990s Ben Tucker and Emma Kelly ran the Hannah's East jazz club here.
The Vault is set in a former neighborhood bank. The venue says the bank served Savannahians for over 50 years before the Rhino Hospitality Group turned it into an Asian fusion and sushi room. The old strongroom lends its name to The Vault Room, a private space for parties. Savannah Magazine readers voted it best Sushi and best Business Lunch in 2026.
Vic's sits in an old cotton warehouse on the bluff, with a dining room that looks over the Savannah River and a patio above Factors Walk. Savannah Magazine's 2026 readers' poll named it runner-up for both shrimp and grits and waterfront dining.
